- Spectrographic and Carbon/Sulfur Detection — Our advanced analytical processes are used primarily for measuring the precise composition of metal alloys. Spectrographic analysis uses electricity to excite the molecules in a sample, which causes them to give light that can be measured using a spectrometer. The different wavelengths of light emitted provide data on the elements present in the sample. In carbon/sulfur detection, on the other hand, the metal is melted inside an induction furnace. The sulfur and carbon present are thus converted into gaseous forms that are detected using cells. This tells us the exact concentrations of these elements.
- Image Analysis — Using a combination of microscopes and digital cameras, this process takes detailed photos of the surface of metal samples.
